Portraits of Anonymous Figures Brought out of Museums and onto the Streets

Gallery paintings have been brought to the streets of cities around the world as part of a global participative project called, Outings.

Initiated by French visual artist and filmmaker, Julien de Casabianca, the project was created to move anonymous portraits from gallery walls to street walls, stepping away from street art stereotypes and offering something completely unusual.

People all over the world are encouraged to enter their local museums, take pictures of portraits with their phones and ‘set them free’. You can send your pictures to the Outings team, who print the portraits and send them back to you, ready to turn ordinary streets into traditional art galleries!

Head over to the Outings website for more details.
