Hungarian Banknote Concept Designed by Barbara Bernát

Graduate student, Barbara Bernát, of the University of West Hungary, has been receiving a lot of praise online for her recent MA degree project and rightly so. The Budapest- based graphic designer devised a beautiful concept for the Hungarian Euro.

Barbara redesigned 5 bank notes each made with a set of copperplate etchings of European animals (on the front) and related plants (on the back) that grow in size as the vaule increases.

However arguably the most conspicuous aspect of the project was the security feature Barbara developed that reveals the skeleton of each animal under a UV light.

A truly creative concept and inspiration for students looking to make an impression with their final degree projects! I am sure the job offers came rolling in!

Keep up to date with Barbara’s work and her career here.
