Nick Cocozza

Nick Cocozza is a visual artist from Scotland currently based in Berlin, Germany.
Cocozza does not restrict himself to any specific artistic medium, instead he drifts between different disciplines encompassing print making, 3d and sculptural work and painting into his works.

His work incorporates a mixture of computer based, installation and hand drawn elements and often focus on the notion of urban culture. His art is inspired by his own surroundings, drawing inspiration from people, conversations, textures and memories. Based on everyday experiences, people and humour, Nick Cocozza gives us his own view of popular culture with a hint of criticism.

Since graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone college of art in 2010, his work has been published and exhibited internationally. In 2010 Cocozza won an award from DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) for his modern day interpretation of the fairytale ‘Hänsel and Grätel’ which initially brought him to Berlin and kickstarted his creative career as a visual artist. Some his most prominent clients are several music festivals in the UK , musicians such as the world renowned grime collective Boy Better Know (Skepta, Wiley, JME & Drake) and magazines such as the Austrian-based Indie Magazine and Popshot poetry magazine.
